THE NEW FACE OF OGURUGU GRADUATES

THE NEW FACE OF OGURUGU GRADUATES.
Let me start by wishing everyone Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
“Behind Every Reality, There Exist An Idealism.”
Evidently, the idea to get Ogurugu drives on the lane of unity and continuous progress is getting real every single day. Hence, the reality is getting real on the ideal kind of Ogurugu one should be proud of.
Moreover, these realities are getting real due to certain factors – education, which is one of the paramount! Undoubtedly, education is greatly winning and steadily gaining root, and then getting solidified in Ogurugu community. This claim is not contested as the number of graduates in Ogurugu increases each year geometrically.
However, this is against the backdrop of the educational situation we had before now. Being sensitive to history, Ogurugu is considered to have had just a single Primary School which was known as St. Francis Catholic Primary School (under the tutelage of the Missionaries). Thereafter, it metamorphosed to “Community Primary School". Subsequently, there came the establishment of Onoja Primary School, as well as the Community Secondary School.
Meanwhile, to buttress on the significant development in terms of Education in Ogurugu, today there are about seven (7) Primary Schools and up to four (4) Secondary Schools in the community.
Therefore, in the face of this reality of educational progress in Ogurugu, one can boldly say that Ogurugu, is no longer short of competent and resourceful graduates. In other word, there would be a proportionate upliftment of the community since education helps elevate the social and economic condition of the people. More so, the endowment of better people who would conduct themselves through life in Ogurugu would equally multiply.
To this regard, we can now unanimously agree that as the number of graduates increase in the community, so shall there be a pragmatic increase in moral values, positive thinking, attitude of helping, attitude of giving to the community, as well as ethical values – this to the progress of the whole community.
Finally, permit me to use this opportunity to reiterate on this announcement (coming as a reminder) to all Ogurugu Graduates. On behalf of the most respected erudite Professor Chris Chukwural and Mr. Casmir Adamu, president and secretary of Ogurugu Graduate Forum (OGF), respectively, that the OGF meeting is as follows:
Date: Monday 30th December, 2019.
Venue: Prof. Chris Chukwurah’s Country Home, Ogurugu.
Time: 1:00PM Prompt.
Once again, Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
Let’s continue to up hold the peace and unity in the community.
Yours Brother,
Akor Gabriel.
